Irma M. (Conti) Morettini, 88, of Cranston, passed away July 16, 2009 at Kent Hospital. She was the former wife of the late Anthony Morettini, with whom she raised five children. Born in Torrington, Conn., a daughter of the late Frank and Anselma (Gianotti) DelRosso, she lived in Cranston for 12 years. Prior to that, she'd been a resident of Riverside for 39 years. She retired from the State of Rhode Island, having served at the State Services for the Blind and Rhode Island College for over 15 years. Irma graduated from East Providence High School, class of 1938. She loved music and put it to great use, playing and teaching piano and accordion and singing and dancing with various senior groups in the East Bay. She also cued round dances for many years and enjoyed square dancing around New England. She is survived by two sons, Tony Morettini and his wife, Susan, of Bristol and Mark Morettini and his wife, Megan, of New York City; and three daughters, Lynda Regine and her husband, John, of Cranston, Carolyn Spring and her husband, Eugene, of Hope Valley and Susan Morettini of Rumford. She is also survived by her siblings, Rita Dionne of Johnston, Rinaldo Conti of Riverside, Frances Gibson of Jacksonville, Fla., Robert DelRosso of Seekonk, Mass., June Field of Arizona and Gail Burke of Andover, Mass.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John and Florence DelRosso. Her funeral service was held July 18 from W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside. Burial followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
