About Isaac Joseph jose Pardo Nehemías Abendana
Georges Pardo, great grandson of Isaac Pardo recounts this - He was born in Hamburg Germany ( Then Altona) in the Portuguese Jewish community, In 1841, at the age of 17 arrived in Venezuela. In 1846 he converted to Catholism and married Maria de Jesus ( Mama Suza), a catholic of jewish descent. He became a succesful businessman and fathered 13 children. Among other things he founded the company Pardo y Cia, the Banco de Venezuela, the Teatro Caracas, the Masonic Lodge and was involved in initiating the telegraph and telephone in Venezuela.
Merchant, is born in Hamburg - in the Portuguese Hebrew community, Catholic in the Cathedral of Caracas is baptized June 21, 1846, ltd he nationalizes Venezuelan, its letter of naturalization is signed for the General President Carlos Soublette
Isaac's son, Jacob, married Amelia Soublette, grand daughter of General Carlos V. Soublette, hero of the war of Independence, Envoy to England and Spain, and twice President of Venezuela. Amelia and Jacob were my father's grand parents. Their son Isaac died just a few years back.
Another son of Isaac Joseph Pardo, Maneul, married Enriquetta de Legonier and their grand son, Henry Pardo Pardo translated Isaac Jospeh's diary of his journey to Venezuela in 1841.
