As for the Grizzle/Sallee union, the bride appears to be Pierre (Peter)/Frances Bondurant’s “Female Sallee” who married William Grizzle 1782. All their children (8 or 9) were born in Buckingham County, Virginia, thus backing the story that William never left that county. Except for no Sarah listed and a child named Sallee shown, all the children match those names apparently listed in the Grizzle Bible.

... The 1782 Buckingham Tax list show Isaac Sallee was the father of Mary Ann; and the will/estate of James Bryant, indicating his daughter, Elizabeth, was still alive.
