   !He relocated from Bledsoe Co. Tennessee to Clay Co. Kentucky and is said to be there on the 1810 census, but may have been in Lawrence Co., Tennessee at the time of the 1820 census. Isaac and Polly are said by descendants to have had at least 9 children, based on the early census records which don't list the names of the children.

!By one account, he died in Clay Co., Kentucky. He has been reported to be the father of Anna Swafford, but we have not located him on a census.
!Also in the 1850 Clay Co. census was a household for an Isaac "Swaford," age 45 born North Carolina, and son Isaac age 11 born Kentucky. Also in the household was Joshua Hall age 60 born North Carolina. There was also an Isaac Swafford age 25, and wife Julia age 23.

Isaac Swafford was born 1774 in Greenville Co. NC. He is one of the 8 sons of Peter James Swafford and Rennie Howard. He married Polly (Mary) Smith, daughter of Thomas Smith and Unice. Isaac and Pollywere among the origional settlers of Clay Co. Ky. in 1810. In 1818 in the Pickens Census they were in Lawrence Co. Tn. The 1820 census list 8 children in the household in Lawrence Co. And we know that John, James and Anna were born after 1820.
