Isabel de Thorpe was the daughter of Edmund de Thorpe and Joan de Northwode. Some sources call her Elizabeth - the names were interchangeable in the Middle Ages. She married Philip Tylney in 1415 at Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk County, England.
Their son and heir, Frederick Tylney, of Boston, Lincolnshire County, married Elizabeth, daughter of Lawrence Cheney, of Ditton, Cambridge County, and had an only daughter and heir, Elizabeth.
