Misc. Tet. P 2770. #14737-14736 - Isabelle Starr:

"That I am about 46 years of age. My father claimed to be 1/2 Cherokee and
my mother claimed to be 1/2 Cherokee. It was my father's mother and father
both from whom he got the Indian. Samuel Campbell was my father. Wash
Campbell was my grandfather, that is, he was my father's step-father and it
was he from whom my father took his name. Drowning-Bear was my grandfather-
my father's own father. Katy Rattlinggourd was the name of my grandmother.
My grandparents on my mother's side, I don't know. My mother ws about 25 or
30 years old at the time of the war. My father was 67 years old when he
died. I expect my parents ought to have been onthe 1851 roll. They did not
share in the Old Settler payment. Don't know when my parents were married.
My parents were living in this country in 1851. My father was the only
child. I have been enrolled by the Dawes Commission (16808)"
