It seems her mysterious first husband had two different spellings for his surname:
Ransburg and Ransberry (the children carry last name Ransberry).

Born in Sunnidale Township, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada in 1867 to Edward Handy and Marion Ruthven. Isabella married first William Ransberry, then William Hooper. She passed away on 16 Mar 1903 in Innisfil Township, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada.

Date of Birth NOT 1867 but; 1858 to 1860

Isabella lost her first husband, Bill Ransberry, very mysteriously. The grandchildren say that he and a friend spent the winters in the bush, and one year when they were on their way home, they met with foul play. Their bodies were never found. Isabella then married Bill Hooper. Her descendents can be found from Orono to Hamilton, Port Colborne and Sault Ste. Marie. Henry never married, spent most of his life as a farmhand at various farms.

Isabella was the daughter of Edward Handy and MARION OR Marrian Ruthven.-hANDY-SATCHELL (nee: Ruthven)

She married William Ransberry 6 Oct 1882. They had 2 sons, William and James. After Ransberry disappeared she married William Hooper c 1892.

There were 4 children from this marriage, Dora, Ida, Ernest and George.

Isabella died in Innisfil Twp, Simcoe County, Ontario  and is buried in an unmarked plot BESIDE HER MOTHER   MARION or MARRIAN RUTHVEN HANDY-SATCHELL   (NEE RUTHVEN)

She died suddenly. Two of her sons in Allandale,were left to mourn her. Northern Advance, 19 Mar 1903, p. 8
