About Isabella Homan (Travers)
Image from the collection of Andrew and Antonia Orr. This small watercolour portrait is thought to be of Isabella Homan (born Travers). It is part of a quadraptych that includes a portrait of an older man thought to be her husband Edmund Branthwaite Homan. It was in the estate of Travers Knox Duncan, son of Frances ffolliott Homan who was the granddaughter of Isabella Homan. Rev. Richard Homan, rector of Ballingary, Co. Tipperary inherited it and it has been passed down through his branch of the Homan family.
Daughter of Rev. John Travers of Mount Temple, located near Dunegan, Co. Westmeath, where her husband Edmund Branthwaite Homan lived.
