ISABELLA PARKLIE

Isabella Parklie is the daughter of Parklie of that Ilk, as appears from a dispensation of marriage which was obtained by her great-grandson Thomas Hamilton of Quhitebanks on 11 February 1538/9.. According to John Anderson, it was Janet Parklie who married John Hamilton of Torrance but this appears to be an error. Hamilton Memoirs G. Harvet Johnston follows Anderson Heraldry of the Hamiltons

Death

The date upon which Isabella Parklie died is not nown but it has been suggested that her husband died later than 23 October 1475 and it is supposed that Isabella probably died after this date too.
