Alix of Alençon + after 1220 (daughter of Jean 1st and Béatrice du Maine; & ep. 2) Hugues II, viscount of Châtellerault + before 1176 son of Aymeri 1st and Amalberge (Dangereuse) hence Aymeri II of Châtellerault)mis the unfortunate consequence of an error in the translation of a charter from around 1220 citing: "...Hemericus vicecomes Castri-Eraudi, Ala uxor quondam Roberti filii Ernesii, et Robertus Malet..." which concerns in sequence: Aimery de Châtellerault, Robert FitzErneis, important Anglo-Norman figure, and Robert Malet, all three heirs of Robert, Count of Alençon, including three sisters: Alix/Elle, Hélie and Philippa had married respectively Hugues de Châtellerault (father of Aimery), Robert FitzErneis and Guillaume Malet (father of Robert). Father Anselme de Saint-Marie then Moréri and a few others contributed - despite their good faith - to spreading this error.
