According to Charlie Melmed, Uncle Izzy worked for his two brother-in-laws who owned the Club Sudan, a famous hotspot, which opened up at the same spot as the Cotton Club (1923 to 1935. The Cotton Club closed on 16 February 1936) at 142nd St & Lenox Ave., in Harlam The Cotton Club closed due to the riots in Harlam. The Club Sudan closed in 1946.
