About Ishimoticha McClish
Her name is listed in documentation on Dawes cards as Shim-o-te-cha and She-mo-ti-ci-cha, possibly the Choctaw "ish imoti cha" which would mean "starts a fire for them." She died before 1889, when other Choctaws were interviewed about finding heirs of her father Shomachiche.

Ah-chuck-ah-tarm-by after being duly sworn testifies as follows:
Ans: Was acquainted with Show-mah-chi-che.
Quest: Was Show-ma-chi-che a man or woman? Ans: A man.
Quest: Did he have any children? Ans: Yes Sir, the woman's names are, Shim-a-tic-cha, Che-wone, Pa-ley-a, one son Ah-yar-ho-tubby. Che-wone had two children Josey LeFlore, Abernezer Willis Fulsom's children Arnold, Mary, Frank. Pa-ley-a died no heirs. Ah-yar-ho-tubby had one son name Joe Brown, one daughter name not known had two children names not known. I recollect now, her name was Shim-mah-ni-ya, her children's names I don't recollect. Josey LeFlore, Abenezer and Joe Brown are all living.
Quest: Is these only heirs now living? Ans: Yes Sir.

Bill Pitchlynn & wife had three two children, Joe Pitchlynn, Sim Pitchlynn, Mrs. Buck Riddle. Joe has three children. Sim Pitchlynn no children. Mrs. Buck Riddle has one child Loren.

Che-wo-ne's children name Arnold Fulsome, Isaac Folsome, Mary Fulsome. Pal-e-ya's children's names Josey LeFlore, Ebnezer, Jenney. Shim-a-ni-ya's childrens names Simon, Silina dead one child, Liza-an McLain, Ah-yar-lo-tubby one son Joe Brown. Bill Pitchlynn married Jenney in family. But I don't know how many children they had.

I am trying to fit my family in here I have been reading files and emails on my husbands family and it lead me to the Pitchlynn name. Elsey ( Emma) McLish's mother was my the sister of his GGGG Grandmother not real sure if I will get the names spelled right But here is a try Pal-e-ya was his GGGG Grandmother is this the right family ? I have Elsey ( Emma)McLish"s parents as Sho-mo-tici-cka ( Mother)and Greorge as her (father) she was part chickasaw right ?

I have been looking over emails and files on my husbands family and it leads me to this name as some of the relation to some Folsom's . I am still looking for a Thomas Folsom and Jenny (? LeFlore ? ) Folsom she was the daughter of Pal-eya . I believe a Elsey(?) McLish was married to a William Pitchlynn they had 3 children I think . Can anyone help me on this it comes from a very confusing File
