After subtitle, it starts: "Charles Goodman, 43 years old, a retired city firman, was released in $5,000 bail when he was arraigned yesterday .... accused of being the owner of a warehouse at 166 South Street, in which police on Thursday found more than $20,000 in silks, woolens and other merchandise alleged to be loot." ..."his home at 1,518 Nineteenth Avenue, Brooklyn" -- [LoisLubin 8/2011 - 1518 Nineteenth Ave as here, and 5018 Nineteenth Ave as on 1930 Census - the two sound almost the same - so possibly one is mis-hearing, is same address]

--In NY Times Mar. 30, 1937, p. 9 -- "Former Deputy Boxing Commissioner Charles Goodman filed suit in Supreme Court yesterday to collect his New York City Fire Department pension which was suspended during his service with the Boxing Commission. ..... he was appointed to the Fire Department in 1907 and retired in 1921 .. he accepted teh $4,000-a-year post as Deputy Boxing Commissioner in 1931 ... retired from the latter post in 1934."
