About Isobel Grant
'Isobel married Dun of Raity, by whom she had a son John, and in 1629 Archibald Grant, appearand of Kinnermoney (Cramond's Kirk Session of Elgin) afterwards of Ballintomb in Knockando, Morayshire, by whom she had a son, Archibald, ancestor of Grant of Monymusk (Fraser's Chiefs of Grant). On November 21, 1651, Issobell Gordoune, relict of umquhill Archibald Grant executed a deed acknowledging that she was addebted to her lawful son John Dun in the sum of 1000 merks, one of the witnesses being her lawful son, Archibald Grant of Balnatomb (Elgin Commissary Records).'
