He was not actively engaged in business. A widow and eight children survive him. The latter are Mr. Isaac Benesch, senior member of the firm of Isaac Benesch & Sons, furniture and piano dealers, 549 Gay street; Mr. Joseph Benesch, senior member of Joseph Benesch & Son, furniture and piano dealers, 525 North Gay street; Mr. Abraham Benesch, furniture dealer, 407 South Broadway; Mr. Jacob Benesch, of L. Benesch & Sons; Mr. Charles Benesch, tailor, 1720 Barnes street; Mr. Moritz Benesch, of Austria, Mrs. Fannie Wise, wife of Herman Wise, Pennsylvania avenue, and Mrs. Simon Jeferine.
