His father was Andrew Robeson a Chief Justice in Pennsylvania's Supreme Court and his mother was Magdalana Buchman. Andrew Robeson's daughter married Mordecai Lincoln a ancestor of President Abraham Lincoln according to THE History Of The Lincoln Family an Account of Descendant Samuel Lincoln. Israel Robeson was also a friend of Mordecai Lincoln as he is listed on his last will and testament as a witness Feb 22, 1735, page 48. The page before lists John Robeson as being his close friend. Andrew's daughter Hannah married Mordecai Lincoln pages 48-52. Israel had a son Moses Robeson who was married to Christiana Lane.
