Ithamar Yates lived in Taylor Couny all his life, was a retired carpenter and a member of the First Baptist Church where he had been a deacon for 46 years.

He married Josephine "Josie" Fauley on October 11, 1893, in Taylor, West Virginia. They had six children.

Obituary- Ithamor Yates, Grafton, June 14- "Ithamor Yates, aged 86, a resident of 113 West washington Street, died this morning at 4 o'clock in the Grafton City Hospital. He had been in ill health for one year and seriously ill for one week.

He was born in Taylor County, January 15, 1872, a son of the late Adolphus T. and Clarrenda Selvey Yates. He is survived by his widow, Josephine Fauley Yates; two daughters, Mrs. J. L. (Eulah) Patton of Clarksburg and Mrs. O. C. (Clara) Shaffer of Fairmont; two sons, Orville W. Yates of Seneca Falls, N. Y. and Charles A. Yates of Grafton; one sister, Mrs. Ora D. Leach of Simpson; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Three brothers are deceased.

Mr. Yates was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he had been a deacon for 46 years. He had lived in Taylor Couny all his life."
