Her family lived in a small town in Poland, and my Grandpa Weitzman had a very important job as an expediter for a railroad that was owned by some wealthy Jewish people. Grandpa was often invited to their home and he learned a great deal about their lifestyle and the standards by which they lived so magnificently, During his visits, he gained an appreciation of fine, imported fabrics and how their elegance was evident in the finished results, Grandpa must have had a natural appreciation for fine things that was brought out by his exposure to them in their home."

Urszula Einhorn, 17 Dec 2021: "Today I have been looking for a recorded story by my aunt Chana, about her childhood and how she survived the war. I have found a short passage about Itzak and Dwojra Wajcman. She says: “I remember my grandfather visiting us in Okonin sometimes. Grandfather had a long black beard, as many Jews did at the time. During our stays with him he enjoyed sitting by the river Mlynowka at a mill) and fished. Grandma Dwojra has never visited us. I remember her from visit travels with my mother when I was 6-8 years old. Grandma Dwojra was pretty fat, like my own mother. My mother and she were very similar to each other both in appearance and body shape."
