About Ivan Ivanovich Olifirenko

Ivan Olifirenko, born in 12.7.1856 in Chernihiv, Ukraine. Was a teacher and Court Counciller. Got an position in St. Petersburg, owned a state in Kivennapa, Pamppala, Carelia area (Part of area that belonged to Finalnd at that time) where to his family fled after the Russian revolution. Ivan died 27th June 1917 in st. Petersburg.

Later his family was moved from Carelia (Kivennampa, Pamppala) to other areas in Finland as the area was lost to Soviet Union after the wars.

(page 1 Title) Formulary list about the service of assistant class teachers at the Petrograd Larinsky gymnasium, court counselor Ivan Ivanovich Olifirenko. Done until October 10, 1914. A copy was issued from the Petrograd Larinsky gymnasium, according to the request of the court councilor Olifirenko, for submission to the Imperial Petrograd University, where his son Boris is a student.

Olifirenko Ivan Ivanovich, son of clerk. He was born on September 12, 1856. No real estate property at himself and his parents. He graduated from Kuban Teacher Seminary on June 14, 1878 and started service in different schools. Since June 1895, he served in St. Petersburg male Larinskoye classical secondary school (Ларинская гимназия). His position there to the date of compiling service record on October 10, 1914: class tutors’ assistant, the rank – court councilor.

On June 27, 1917, Ivan Ivanovich passed away being on service.

Awards: Orders of St. Stanislaw of 2nd and 3rd ranks; St. Anne of 2nd and 3rd ranks; chest silver medals on St. Alexander ribbon: 1) with the legend “For diligence” for his labors on the popular education; 2) in Memory of the Reign of the Emperor Alexander III; and light-bronze medal in Memory of 300-years reign of the Romanoff Family.
