Ivan Wilfred Smith, Sr.

SMITH, Ivan W. 94, of Prattville died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery. He was born on Wednesday, October, 1916 in Coosa Co., AL, son of the late Joseph Smith and the late Annie Harmon Smith. He was a Technician. Mr. Smith was a WWII Army Veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He also was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Janice Smith Farr of Birmingham, AL; son Mr. Van Smith of Billingsley, AL; 2 grand daughters; 2 grandsons; great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Louise Smith.

Services will be Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Indian Grave Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Posey, Rev. Mike McLemore and Rev. Soloman White officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Grave Cemetery, Billingsley, AL.

In lieu of flowers, family request memorials be made to Indian Grave Baptist Church.
