Jørgen Mathias Paasche

Burial was listed in 1854--I assume 1874 was meant?? Alternate Death Date: 10/13/1880? Alternate Death Location: Hadsel? Some Paaske's had moved to Nordland and he is shown in the 1865 Census as living in Nordland.*

Jørgen Mathias is son of Johan Ulrich. He marries his 1st cousin, Ane C. D. Paaske, who is the daughter of Johan U.'s brother Eilert F. Geni has a hard time showing this unusual relationship BUT maybe not so unusual on a small island. Ane dies in 1833 and Jørgen Mathias lives alone for about 7 years or more until he marries the widow of his cousin Anders Paasche who dies in 1838. Ander's father Andreas is a brother of Johan Ulrich. They have a child together in 1845

• By 1865 census, has moved to Nordland, probably with one of his sons after his wife dies in 1833
