Jane Agnus Brumels

Mrs. Agnus J. Brumels, age 91, of Orange City, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 1994 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City.

Funeral services were held on Saturday September 17 at the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City. The Rev. Donald De Glopper, of the Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City, officiated. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Agnus was born September 20, 1902 at Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Adrian and Annie (Waterloo) De Voogd.

On September 17 1924 she married Frank Harold Brumels at Grand Rapids. They lived at Grand Rapids and Chippewa Lake, Michigan, much of their lives.

In November of 1975, they moved to Orange City. Mr. Brumels passed away February 12, 1983 at Orange City. In May of 1991, Mrs. Brumels became a resident of the Heritage House.

She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church.

Survivors include her two sons and their wives Gordon and Muriel Brumels of Orange City and Bruce and Doris Brumels of McBain, Michigan; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Mina Geldersma of Alto, Michigan, a sister-in-law, Frances De Voogd of Wyoming Michigan; and a brother-in-law, George Brumels of Grand Rapids.

Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Reformed Church Memorial Fund, Orange City.
