JUDr. Egon Popper

Received his doctorate in law from Charles University in 1929. Selected by Edelstein to be in charge of Internal Administration ("Innere Verwaltung") for Theresienstadt in December 1941, which capacity he served until he was deported with the rest of the Judenraat in October 1944. He is believed by cousins to have been one of the members who was executed on arrival, though I have found no firm record. (Gonda's memoirs, p. 38-39 records an argument with him).

Some records mistakenly record his date of birth as 1908. His cousin, Felda Kolmer, confirmed this man was the Egon Popper on the Judenraat.
