Jaan Soikov

Jaan (Jaan) Soekov. *14.08.1869 (by mistake 08.12.1869) in Meeksi md. (*)21.08.1869 [in Räpina congregation]. [-1871-1885 lived in Naha village]. 1885 left with parents from Räpina congregation and joined Oudova congregation. He applied for the citizenship of the Republic of Estonia and permission to return to Estonia in 1920. -1920- lived in Uzmino commune, was a farmer, had a grammar school education. -1920 sr: member of Meeksi commune. In the application for returning to Estonia he noted Viido Tsikov from Meeksi commune as a person to recommend him for Estonian citizenship. After returning to Estonia he planned to move to Meeksi commune. At the moment we do not know when he actually moved to Estonia (at least he had not acquired Estonian citizenship). Possibly he returned in 1940s.8 {+1967 in Estonia.} Married <1921 with Leena Freidenbaum. Wife Leena (Leena, Leeni, Helene) Freidenbaum (Freidenbaum). *04.09.1879.
