Son of Jabez Gorham (born March 6, 1690/91 in Barnstable, MA died abt. 1738).

He was among the original settlers in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. He moved there with his wife and four children from the Plymouth, MA area; seven more children were born in Liverpool.
