Jabez Lombard (also spelled Lumbert or Lumbart) was born on 1 July 1642 in Barnstable, Plymouth, Massachusetts.[1][2]

Research Notes

Records for this family suggest that the original death date for this profile, listed as 16 Feb. 1673 was incorrect, so I have removed that date. It's clear to me that that death record was mistakenly attached to this Jabez, but actually belonged to his nephew of the same name.[14]. It's apparent from the Barnstable records that Jabez and Sarah Derby had children all the way into 1681 (see below), so I'm putting in a placeholder that his death had to be after 1681. The Mayflower Families Through Five Generations book on William White's family says that this couple had a son Bernard Lumbart, born April 1668 in Barnstable, who may have been the husband of Sarah White, daughter of Jonathan White Hester Nickerson.[15] There were marriage intentions posted at Barnstable on 18 March 1741, and at Yarmouth on 22 March 1741. It also states she was his second wife.
