source for record: https://familysearch.org
"Mexico, Marriages, 1570-1950," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JHR9-VY8 : accessed 14 Nov 2012), Ysidra Carrasco in entry for Encarnacion Rodriguez and Jacinta Marquez, 01 Nov 1866; citing reference , FHL microfilm 1511700.
This record states that Jacinta Marquez was adopted. Since based on DNA evidence this lineage came from Native American Indian, it is reasonable to assume that she was adopted as an Indian child. During this period of time the Mexico Catholic baptism records indicate that the babies were designated as Apache.
