Jacinto Muñoz y Ortiz

Jacinto and Madalena must have had quite a love story. According to their birth dates they could have been twenty years between them, with Madalena being the older. I have read a story that describes Madalena being pregnant by her first husband when she married Jacinto.

Madalena first married Pedro Lopez de Villegos on Sept 6, 1609 and had four children by him. She married Jacinto on Feb 9, 1627 and they had three children, two boys and a girl. The first child born died before one year.

One wonders what happened to the first husband ( he must have died ) and how did it happen that she met and married Jacinto while still pregnant by her first husband. She must have been a beautiful woman to marry a much younger man under such circumstances. Like I said, must have been quite a story.
