As a young person, growing up on a farm in Ohio.

Met John F Kennedy in Chicago in 1962 and volunteered for the draft soon after. Was at Ft Dix, NJ when Kennedy was shot, then served in Germany during the Viet Nam War.

Was active, as a young person in Theater and received "All State Cast" honors, twice, and was a two gold bar Thespian of the "American Thespian Society". Later worked as a Extra in the films, "Brubaker", "Traffic", and "A Little Inside". Sang tenor in a Men's chorus and performed with the Army Chorus at Disneyworld and in Washington DC representing Ohio in the National Centennial celebrations.

Representing Ohio he placed a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. He considered this his greatest honor.
