From a October 16, 2004 email from Willie Hensley to Patricia Paul, "I have had the set of 35 Curtis photographs that he took toward the end of his career that were made in 1927 (I believe) as he took his tour along the coast from the Yupik area north to the Nome area and to King Island and finally to the Kotzebue area. It's been a long time since I looked at the pictures in detail but I think one of them to Jackson Beaver (Priscilla's nephew) and son of Mary Davidovics. I took it to Marie Beaver once but she couldn't say for sure as her eyesight might not have been good by then. I knew Jackson and used to go boating and dog teaming with him when I was a kid. He had a hunchback and wasn't real strong but got around good and was very bright. Another picture is of Charlie Allen in his qayaq back in one of the lakes behind town. At least, those two, I remember. willie."
