About Mary Oorvik Davidovich
Mary's Inupiaq name, Oorvik means "caterpillar before it turns into a butterfly. She was eight years older than her sister, Priscilla.
Mary was born in Point Hope Alaska and married Paul Davidovics(all dates unknown), an immegrant from the country of Austria. Paul landed in his new homeland of America in the port of San Francisco in 1898 and made his way to the artic of Alaska, settling in the coastal village of Kotzebue.
