About Jacob C. Cochran

Jacob C Cochran was my husband's great grandfather.
Jacob was born a twin, according to old Bible records which say that Robert Cochran was born 20 minutes after Jacob. They were born to George Cochran and Rebecca Barkley, into a large family with many siblings. Robert Cochran died as a small child, about a year and a half in age.

Jacob married Jemima Jane Martin on the 18th of July, 1858, in Washington County, TN, and they were blessed with 12 children, one of whom was my husband's grandfather. Jacob & Jemima Cochran also helped raise a couple of their grandchildren.

Jacob C Cochran died in June of 1921; Jemima Jane Cochran died in March of 1922. They both lived a long life, into their 80s.
