Jacob immigrated to the United States from Poland in 1888. In the 1900 Census, it states that he came from Poland (Germany). He and his first wife, Mary (nee Piotrowski), married at St. Adalbert's Church in Chicago. They lived at 642 West 19th Street in Chicago. After her death, he married his second wife, Maria (nee Sokolowski), at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Cicero. They made their home at 5044 West 31st Place in Cicero.
1920 Census indicates that Jacob and Mary came from Galicia, Poland. (Maria Mongello)
