Jacob Du Bois was captain of hte Pittsgrove Minute Men of Salem County, 20 Septemer, 1775.
The Muster Roll of his company is the earleist knwon list of Salem Cojnty soldiers in the Revolution and contsins the names of seven of hte Du Bois famiy, as well as others mentioned in this compilation. It appears in ful on page 32-3 follwoing . He was also a member of the Salem County Committee of Correspondence whihc met at Salem Jan 7 1775. Issue all born in Salem County, New Jersey.
