Hy was ook bode van Drakenstein. in 1745 koop Jacob Naudé die plaas Klipvlei in die Wagenmakersvallei (Wellington) van Pieter Booysen. Naudé verkoop Klipvlei in 1766 aan Johann Fransz Ophausen." Jacob's marriage to Maria Elizabeth Blom was childless [5]OccupationAfter the death of Jan Melchior Frick in 1741, Jacob successfully applied for the appointment of 'koster' of the Drakenstein DRC. In 1744 he married Anna Susanna du Toit. In 1745 he resigned as koster and bought the farm 'Klipvlei' in the Wagenmakersvallei (Wellington). From 1756 to 1765 he employed his cousin, son of Roger David, Philipp-Jacob Naude as 'knegt'.
