On two passport applications for Jacob’s son, Leonard, Gumbinnen, Poland is cited as Jacob’s birthplace. As borders changed, it was dissolved in 1945 and became Gusev, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia.

Yesterday afternoon Mr. J. N. Kersburg, a well known and prominent business man of this place, and Miss Jennie Goodman, daughter of Mr. A. H. Goodman, of Albion, were untied in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, the Rev. Dr. Lanberg, of Rochester, performing the ceremony. Only the intimate friends of the partied concerned were present at the ceremony, after which they took the evening train for the east. The best wishes of a large circle of friends follow them. Jacob N. Kersburg Dies.
Jacob N. Kersburg, a real estate investor with offices at No. 829 Granite building, died yesterday morning at his home, No. 171 Rutgers street, aged 75 years.
Mr. Kersburg was a clothing merchant at Medina up to ten years ago. He was a member of Rochester Masonic bodies and also of the Temple Berith Kodesh.
He leaves four children, Leonard J. Kersburg, of New York; Harry J. Kersburg, of New York, and two daughters, Mrs. Belle Turner and Mrs. Dorothy Deering.
He was an uncle of Simon L. Adler, Assembly floor leader.
NOTE: There is Cenotaph/Commemorative Memorial (# 111046762) created in Mount Albion Cemetery in Orleans Co., Albion, NY for Jacob's 1st wife, Rosalia Kersburg.
Her body was moved from there to Riverside Cemetery.
