The grave site is 19 by 9 fteet and appears to contain two graves.Possibly his wife is also buried there.There are two stones, but the writing is no longer readable.Descendants erected the wall and fence when they learned that a dam was to be built. !RESEARCHER: Mary L. '''Robinson Lucas was born around 1750, the son of a "sea-faring man" from Scotland.Around 1740 his parents settled in Winchester, VA'''.He lived there until as a young man, he migrated from Virginia to Kentucky, and eventually to Ohio and Franklin Twp.According to Virginia accounts, Virginia gave to every bonafide settler who built a log cabin and raised a crop of corn before 1778 a title to 400 acres of land and the right to purchase up to 1000 more adjoining acres.(This would have been his 400 acres on White Day Creek, in (now) Marion Co. W VA). He married Mary Prickett about 1772.They had 19 children.15 lived to grow up."
