History of Berks County - Historical and biographical annals of Berks County Jacob Oberholtzer arrived in 1732 at which time he was twenty-eight years old and had a dughter Elizabeth aged six years and a son Samuel aged three years to come with him to the NEW world.

Sons-in-Law: David and Tillman Kolp, Daniel Bebehiver, Henry Rusenberger, Rodolf Landis, George Packman and Abraham Landis. Exec: Jacob Overholt, Abram Landis. Witnesses: Frederick Saul, Dise Tisnman.
Although he died in 1760, his homestead passed into the hands of his son, Abraham from the heirs. That deed was dated Mar 4, 1763.

Richard Warren Davis states, in "Emigrants, Refugees and Prisoners, Vol 1, 1995 (An Aid to Mennonite Family Research)", "He died in 1760 and was buried at Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery, Bedminster Twp., Bucks Co. He was married to Barbara. He probably had more than one child. He took over 100 acres of his father's land in Coventry by 31 Jan 1734 when he was granted a warrant for that land. Jacob sold his Coventry land to Christian Brewer by 1743."

Niether the Deep Run cemetery records or the MHEP cemetery records indicate where he was buried, and a walk through of the cemetery does not locate any headstone. His burial place is unmarked but he's probably buried at the old Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery near where he lived.
