  • IN THE NAME OF GOD. Amen. I JACOB REMY of Westmoreland County and of Copely Parish being in perfect mind and memory tho weake in body, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, yt. is to say, „-
  • Imprimis. I commend my Soyle which is my immortal! part into ye hands of mighty God my Creator haveing a lively faith in Xt. Christ yt: all my sins shall bee forgiven me, my body I commit to ye Earth from whence it came, yt: it to receive a decent burial according to ye discretion of my Loving Wife and my loving Son, JOHN, whom appoint Executrix and Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, And as touching my worldly goods and Estate with wch, it hath pleased God to bless me with, I give and beqeuath as followeth;
  • Imprimis, I give and bequeath unto my loving Son, JOHN, all my working tools and my Halbard,
  • Item. I give unto my loving Son, JACOB, and his male heir two hundred and thirty acres of land, one hundred and seven acres being the land formerly my Fathers, and thirty acres I bout of EDWARD RANSDELL, with ninety three acres I bought of RICHARD SUTTON with the Hand Mill. Now in case ye said JACOB die without male heir yt. yn, it is Inv Will yt ye said Land returne to my Son, BENJAMIN, and his male heire and for want of such male heire of his to returne unto my Son, JOSEPH;
  • Item. I give and bequeath unto my loveing Sone, WILLIAM, my walking Cane;
  • Item. It is my Will and desire yt: after ye decease of my said Wife, yt: all my personable Estate as it shall be found shall equally be devided amongst all my Children. It is further my Will and desire yt: my loving Wife noways be molested or disturbed on ye said Land and Plantation she now is on dureing her natural! life. I doe hereby revoke all former Wills desireing this to be my Last. In Wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty thrid day of February 1726/7
