He m. 1st, 21 Mar 1805, Taube [Theresia] Konig, b. 1778-1780. Marriage record: “Jacob Lob Schimmerl, age 28, household #33, and Taube Konig, age 25, first marriage for both, m. 21 Mar 1805 [witnesses: Ben. Schimmerl, Mar: Konig].” She d. on 12 May 1834: “Theresia Schimmerl, age 56, d. household #39, 12 May 1834.”

He m. 2nd, Gela [Kati] Wolf, b. 28 Jun 1802, dau of Jakob Wolf. Marriage record: “Jakob Schimmerl, age 42 [*error in age – he was at least 10 years older than this], widower, household #7, and Kati Wolf, age 28, m. 1 Mar 1836 [witness: Benjamin Wolf].” She d. on 8 Jan 1848: “Gela Schimerl, age 45, widow of familiant Jakob Schimerl, d. household #49, 8 Jan 1848.” Gravestone still standing – “Gele, widow of Jaakov Lejb Schimmerl”.
