Jacob Varney

(son of William Varney and Charlotte Tyso of Horley, Oxfordshire, England). Born August 7, 1831, Horley. Came to Utah September, 1856, Knud Peterson company.

   Married:	Caroline Lee in December, 1850, at Banbury, England. (daughter of Thomas Lee and Mary Burbage of Banbury, pioneers September, 1852, Thomas Howell company). She was born May 3, 1832.

Sarah Amelia born September 7, 1852, died infant;

           Isabelle born December 27, 1853, died infant;

           Mary Jane born January 8, 1856, died child;

           Caroline Elizabeth born April 9, 1858, died child;

           Jacob William born January 22, 1861, died child;

           George Alma born January 4, 1863, married Elizabeth Chipman;

           Ezra Thomas born May 20, 1865, married Cynthia Mullner;

           Harriet Amy born August 1867, died child;

           James born October 16, 1869, married Rose Darton;

           Charlotte Maud born March 1871, died child;

           John Willard born October 1873, died child.

Married: Sarah (Conder) Shelley October 9, 1906, Salt Lake City (daughter of James Boyer Shelley and Elizabeth Bray of Claverly, Shropshire, England, pioneers 1851, Alfred Cardon company). She was born July 14, 1841, in Shropshire.
Families resided American Fork, Utah.
