Reception to Honor Pioneer Clevelander on 80th Birthday Anniversary

In honor of the 80th birthday anniversary of J. H. Weidenthal, a reception will be given on Sunday evening, July 19, at the home of his grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Grossman, 2G00 Idlewood Road. Mr. and Mrs. Weidenthal (nee Anne Firth) will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on the following day.

Member of a pioneer Cleveland Jewish family, Mr. Weidenthal was born in Cleveland in1856. His father, the late Abraham Weidenthal, came to the United States from Bohemia in 1847 and settled in Ann Arbor. In 1847 he moved to Cleveland where he was joined by his mother, brothers and sisters. J. H. Weidenthal has four children, seven ¦ grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His children are: Mrs. Mildred Selleck, Mrs. Simon Friedman,, Mrs. Max Miller and Dr. Clarence Weidenthal. Mr. and Mrs. Weidenthal reside at 2810 Mayfield Road.
