About Jacob Weisbrot

Jacob and Beresh went to Russia and joined the Communist party where they were promised free education. Some time later, during Stalin's reign, they were arrested and imprisoned. Beresh had a wife. Beresh was murdered by the Communists and Jacob was put in solitary confinement in the 'Gulags' of Siberia. He spent 9 years there/ He had lost one leg by saving a woman from an oncoming train and had a wooden prosthetic. This threatened his survival in prison. Chess saved his life. A story...for another time.
