Released on 30 October 1902 and returned to the farm ' Bavaria ' Vrede District. { NG Kerk, Vrede, Orange Free State - Marriage Register Entry : 142 of 8 March 1921 - At the time of her marriage, Jacoba ( Kotie ) was aged 24 years and a spinster from Vrede. Her husband, Johan ( Johnnie ) Coenraad Terblanche was aged 36 years, a Widower and a Sheep Inspector from Vrede. They were married at the NG Kerk, Vrede on 8 March 1921 after Banns and by Special Licence issued by the Supreme Court, Bloemfontein.Presiding Minister, Ds H.J. Reyneke in the presence of the following witnesses : J.H. Serfontein / Pieter Pringle ( Brother in law ) - Lived for many years in a Cottage in Voortrekker Street, Ceres with her husband Johnny until it was destroyed in the 1970 Earthquake. Later moved to a Retirement Cottage near the Cemetery. Tant Kotie was my Grandmother, Wilhelmina Susanna Jacoba ( nee Burger ) Horne/ Castle's cousin. She was a dear old soul, always smiling and laughing and whenever I visited her in her Ceres cottage we always enjoyed a good chat and a few glasses of brandy. I have many fond memories of my visits during the 1960/80's.
