Biography ==Jacques Arseneau was born about 1692. He was the son of Pierre Arseneau Marie Guérin. He married MariePoirier daughter of Michel Poirier and Marie Madeleine Bourgeois 6 Feb 1720 in Beaubassin. He passed away about 1745.
Marie Poirier, widow of Jacques Arcenaud, native of l'Acadie, aged 50years.

She has two sons:-

Alexander, aged 20 years. Paul, aged 15 years. In live stock, they have four oxen, three cows, one heifer, one calf, three wethers, three pigs, and three hens. The land on which they are settled is situated up the Rivière du Ouest, and had been granted to the late Jacques Arcenaud by Messieurs Duchambon and Dubuisson. They have made a clearing on it where they have sown ten bushels of wheat, two bushels of peas, and one bushel of barley, and they have fallow land for the sowing of twenty bushels.<ref>Sieur de la Roque 1752 Census for Prince Edward Island/Ile Saint JeanPage 12 - Census of Malpec . Children of the first marriage: Pierre 1677; Abraham 1679. Efants of the second marriage: Charles 1689; Jacques 1691; François 1694; Claude 1696; Anne 1698; Abraham says the Young person vers1702; Augustin 1703. Pierre ARSENAUT was about 1672 the collaborator of MIDDLE-classJacques in the foundation of the colony MIDDLE-class MAN which became BEAUBASSIN later. Steve Natalie's Website, German Acadian Genealogies list Beaubassin as the birth place of Jacques. It would seem to be so, as his father founded Bourgois, later known as Beaubassin and finally called Amherst Nova Scotia.
