He was the son of Pierre Parent and Jeanne Badeau.

He was born November 25, 1657 in Québec, Capitale-Nationale, Québec, Canada. The married Louise Chevalier February 1, 1677. After her death, he married Marie Bélanger, daughter of Nicolas and Marie Bélanger Rainville November 9, 1705 in Beauport, Capitale-Nationale. He then married a third time Marie-Madeleine Huppe, daughter of Michel Huppe and Madeleine Roussin August 17, 1719 in Charlesbourg. He died December 31, 1744 in Beauport. He was buried December 31, 1744 in Notre-Dame, Beauport.
