Possibly the son of Layzer Diensfertig (born circa 1799) and Ryfka (born 1801). Layzer, in turn, was probably the son of Hersz and Anna Diensfertig, who were among the first Jews to settle in Turek (Hersz witnessed several documents there in 1808/9, and may have arrived during the short Prussian rule over the city in the 1790s).
