Jakob Löwy

Jakob Lowy was born July 27, 1865 in Woseletz (Oselce) House #23. HBMa Fond 1073 inv. č 779 Kasejovice Folio 4, Line 54. The birth record says that he was born on June 27, but it also says that he was circumcised on August 3 so he was probably born on July 27.

Jakob was a butcher. He married Rosalie or Ruzena Adler on May 26, 1891 in the Horazdovice Temple. Jakob was 25 years and 9 months old, while Rosalie 19 years and 5 months old. HBMa 455 Folio 40, Line 183.

Jakob and Rosalie were first cousins since his mother Anna Adler was the sister of her father, Hermann Adler.

Jakob survived the war and and married a woman named Marie [maiden name unknown], who had hidden him. They had one child. Jakob died in Horazdovice on February 14, 1952.
