Notes for James Ainsworth:

I had received the names of James and Lydia Ainsworth from my visit with Merl Stevens and was able to get the info on thier ancestors from Family Tree Maker's GenealogyLibrary.com: Pennsylvania Genealogies, Page 1 & 2.

Moses J Wentworths book on the Ainsworth family states that James and Lydia moved about 1803 to Franklin, Ohio and they had ten children.

Ohio County and Family Histories Part II states that James and Lydia, natives of Pennsylvania emigrated to Ohio about 1804, and here they lived for many years, being among the early pioneers, and partaking of the log cabin life with all the roughness and hardships. In after years they became residents of Indiana, where they lived till their death.

They were parents of ten children, six boys and four girls.
