James Cary, son of John. Sec. 2, b. Bridgewater, June 10, 1680; the youngest of the family who removed to Bristol; went to Newport;

Married: Bridget, dau. of John Pococke, Attorney-General of Rhode Island, Dec. 5, 1705, Rev. Walter Clark, Pastor of the Second Congregational Church of Newport, ofificiating. He made his home here, and the Carys intermarried with the Arnold, EUery, Redwood, and Wanton families of Newport.
